The Competitive Edge
In order to provide students with information about these vibrant residential communities, we have created a Living-Learning Community Open House, where students can tour the communities and interact with current students to get a feel for what to expect should they sign on for the experience. In addition, students who have a housing guarantee and apply on or before the Open House, can actually select their room for next year at the event, completely by-passing the Housing Selection process.
All current students eligible to live on campus next year are welcome to attend and select their room for next year. All they need to bring with them is their Pitt ID.

One of the things that sets the Competitive Edge communities apart from other on-campus living experiences is the special programmatic efforts designed to tie in directly with your major or academic interest. We work with a variety of campus and academic departments to help students make the most of their educational experience.
