Robert Wilson Arrived at Pitt: B.A., English Literature, University of Pittsburgh M.S.W., University of Pittsburgh (In progress) It’s tough to designate a single specific memory as a “favorite.” I’ve watched the goal posts fall at old Pitt stadium, I helped make the first ever Pitt ice cream, I’ve seen students cry when they’ve been admitted to Pitt, and I’ve helped many people realize their goals and dreams here at this great university. However, I believe my favorite Pitt memory is when I first arrived in Pittsburgh with my mom. We boarded a train in Gary, Ind. and arrived in Pittsburgh pretty early in the morning. I remember the train coming around a bend and Mt. Washington immediately came into view. The cityscape then unfolded to reveal the river and a bunch of cool yellow bridges. It was both exciting and scary, yet a great moment that I shared with my mom at the outset of my Pitt journey. |
