Dean Jolin Arrived at Pitt: "It is hard to determine one memory that stands out in relation to another one. Since I arrived in 2005 I have worked with so many wonderful people on campus and shared some incredible memories. Working with the professional staff has especially been rewarding... we have fun together, but also challenge each other and help each other to grow as people and professionals. Overall, my favorite memories deal mostly with my co-workers and my student staff, however, one thing that really sticks out in my mind was watching all of the people waiting outside of the Peterson Events Center in April 2008 to attend the Barack Obama Rally. I could not believe the positive energy of people who had been waiting in a very long line for five or more hours...it was incredible!!! And to be able to have an event like this so close to the University was amazing. Needless to say, there is a lot to do in Oakland and in Pittsburgh so each day always brings new and meaningful experiences. and that is what I enjoy most about Pitt." |
